About Me
I’m a designer, a storyteller, a runner, and a seeker of quiet moments. Whether I’m crafting user experiences, capturing everyday life through a lens, or pushing my limits on the road, I’m always drawn to the details that shape how we move, think, and connect.

I’m blessed to be the husband to my beautiful wife, Krizel and the father to Matthew, Naomi, and Rebekah. Born in the Philippines, I now call New York City home. I studied anthropology and archaeology at the University of the Philippines, drawn to the field because I grew up idolizing Indiana Jones. The idea of uncovering stories through artifacts and cultures fascinated me—though, unlike Indy, my adventures don’t involve ancient tombs or lost treasures.

As a product designer, I specialize in simplifying complexity—turning data-rich, information-dense experiences into intuitive, human-centered designs. I’ve always been fascinated by how design and interactions shape human behavior. My journey in UX started long before it had a name—back when we simply called it Information Architecture (IA). I have a deep love for data and the challenge of arranging it in the most intuitive way possible. In many ways, my background in anthropology helps me approach design with a researcher’s mindset, always looking for patterns, behaviors, and ways to improve the human experience.

The breadth of my UX work spans multiple platforms, including mobile, desktop, and Fire TV, across industries like eCommerce, fashion, financial services, automotive, benefits, and health care—designing experiences that make complex information feel simple and intuitive. Some of this work has been recognized as a finalist in the Philippine Webby Awards multiple times, and I was fortunate to receive a People’s Choice Award along the way.

I’m an avid photographer who loves capturing the mundane—those quiet, unassuming moments that often go unnoticed. Travel gives me the perfect excuse to indulge in this, allowing me to see ordinary scenes through a fresh lens. My trusty phone is always handy for quick shots, but my 50mm prime is my go-to—it forces me to move, step in and out of my subject, and find different and sometimes unusual angles. I have a deep love for black and white photography, where light, shadow, and contrast tell the story without the distraction of color. Stripped of embellishments, black and white captures the moment in its purest form, preserving its raw emotion and depth. It’s less about taking photos and more about seeing the world differently.

As an runner, I’m a weekend warrior, but running is more than just a habit—it’s my refuge. It’s where I get lost in thought, covering miles without even realizing it. I’m not fast, but I make up for it with endurance. I’ve run the NYC 60K Ultramarathon twice, the New York Marathon four times, and countless half marathons distances just as weekend runs. I’ve completed every NYRR race, from the one-miler to the grueling 60K. I was also one of the lucky few who ran the NYC ultramarathon before it was abolished—a reminder that sometimes, you have to run the race before it disappears.

Through design, photography, and running, I’ve found different ways to explore the world—whether by shaping experiences, capturing fleeting moments, or pushing past my own limits. Each passion feeds my curiosity and keeps me moving forward, always searching for the next story to uncover, the next idea to refine, or the next mile to conquer.

Nice to meet you. I would love to connect.
